Frequently asked questions
If you have any questions about the MELIB network, our app or how to use your key fob, you will find the most common answers here. If not, please contact us.
To start using the service, all you need to do is register. You can do this from the app. If you need to use chargers with a fee, you will also need to add a bank card.
No, the card is an extra (so you don't have to use the app, for areas with poor coverage or if the charger has a communication problem with the control center), but it is optional, you only need the app to charge.
No, the MELIB card or TIB is linked to the user, so you must have registered from the app beforehand.
In this case, if the square is properly signposted or the maximum time is specified in the municipal ordinance, you can notify the municipal police.
In this case the charger probably has a communication problem and the app cannot know the status of the charger or operate with it. You can try to start charging with the MELIB or TIB card or with any other contactless card (for example bank cards, store cards, gym cards, etc.). This operation will not work on all chargers and will only do so while the communication problem exists.
With the new app «MELIB», the first time you will have to enter from the app menu and go to the option «Personal data». You must activate the option «company» and fill in the data with the information you need to receive the invoices.
After this step, when you make a charge at a charger with a fee, you will receive an invoice by mail at the end of the service. If you have selected the monthly invoice option, you will receive it at the end of the month.
You can also find the history and download the invoices in the «Charges» section.
Charges made with the old app or if the data does not appear in the new app in the month of April: you can request the invoice by sending an email to info@melib.es indicating the period of the invoice and the email address of the MELIB user.
If the charger already appears as out of service in the app, you do not need to notify us, the system has already detected the problem and we are working to solve it. The appearance of a red message at the charging point indicates that there is an active incident; this means that the technical service must physically go to resolve the incident.
If you believe that the system has not been able to detect the incident, or what appears on the charger does not match what appears in the app, you have the icon to notify of the incident. A ticket will be generated and we will respond to you as soon as possible.
You can click on an outlet that is not operational to create a warning. You will receive a notification on your mobile when the outlet is available again.
- Try pushing the connector in as far as possible and try disconnecting again. The locking mechanism can get jammed if you try to remove the connector too early.
- If the point is operational, it restarts charging and disconnects again.
- Try removing the connector from the side of the car, the charger side will probably disconnect right away. Cars usually have a button to disconnect the cable next to the connector itself or inside the vehicle, they also usually unlock when you lock or unlock the doors with the key.
In the «MELIB» app you can register a bank card to make payments within the menu in the «wallet» option.
If you use the MELIB or TIB card, in addition to having the bank card linked, it is mandatory to have a balance in the wallet.
There are chargers in the MELIB network that are free and there are others that have an associated fee that depends on each municipality. You can check the fee through the app: select a charger on the map and press "Fees".
When you start charging, you will be asked how many kWh you want to charge and an initial deposit will be made according to the fee, to which an extra 20% will be added for reservation. When charging is complete, you will be charged for the actual consumption, whether greater or less than that selected in the app. The prices indicated in the app include VAT.
